Under the hood, the automaker has no yet revealed the engine option that will power the 2017 Volvo XC60. However, there are high chances that it will adopt a 3-cylinder 2,400 cc gasoline engine, which is capable of generating up to 180 horsepower at 440 nm of torque.
This powertrain will be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission which will send power to all the wheels, this means that all-wheel-drive (AWD) is standard for the 2017 Volvo XC60. Though the EPA values have not yet been released, the car is expected to feature enhanced fuel economy. There are rumors indicating that a second optional 2-liter 4-cylinder Drive-E engine will be provided though this is pending confirmation from the manufacturer.
