Acura shocked the exotic car world in the introduction on your NSX, a supercar that stood up to models such as the Ferrari 328 back in the 1991. Due to the slow sales the NSX was discontinued in 2005. Since the constant interest of public and million questions, bringing the 2016 Honda NSX back to life was a thing to reconsider. At first the intention to get it to market was planned for 2009 year, but the economic reasons made them to postpone this idea for a couple of years. It seems like the right moment for its launch has finally came. The plans for it to be eco friendly and powered by a V10 engine are accredited to Honda President Takanobu Ito. He stated that their intention was to create environmentally friendly and still fun to drive vehicle. Yet, will it really be the two-seat Honda CR-Z sporty hybrid or something entirely different, remains to see.
2016 Honda NSX engine
Some say that the new Acura Supercar Concept may be similar to the new NSX; others claim that the new supercar may benefit from one of a couple of different engine setups. So the powering to this car vary-it may be a 3.5-3.7 liter VTEC V6 engine in combination with a twin electric motor set-up powered by lithium-ion batteries, or perhaps borrowed from the Dual Note 4WD Hybrid Concept consisting of a 3.5 liter V6 engine which sent power to the rear wheels, while in-wheel electric motors sent power to the front. New information are provided from the AutoExpress magazine , which claim that the new NSX will be a 400bhp four-wheel-drive hybrid model combined with a 3.5-liter V6 engine driving one axle with a pair of in-wheel electric motors driving the other ones. In this situation it will offer a total of 400 HP and will propel the FWD NSX from 0 to 60 mph in under 5 seconds. Sounds pretty good. But those claims that it will be presented as a roadster are still unconfirmed.
2016 Honda NSX review
The exterior of this upcoming and long anticipated vehicle is still a rumor so far. Therefore there is a lot of speculations and guessing. Some believe that we are going to see the very classic of NSX wrapped in some modern package. Although Acura shared a lot of details and concepts, it is not likely that all of them will find its spot in the actual 2016 Honda NSX. Carbon fiber panels over an all-aluminum unit body frame, short overhangs, and a large wheelbase is enough to expect. Ad lowered ride, headlamps like no other Acura model, and a rear wing and some slick and elegant lines and there you got one fine looking Honda. Combined with interior that says elegance and comfort, and one fine NSX it is. Latest technology, three-spoke steering wheel, but also numerous carbon fiber inserts and we are all getting anxious to see this prodigy.
